The Women’s Day Pamper Lunch was a spectacular success thanks to our supportive attendees! We’d like to thank each and everyone who joined together on Women’s Day to raise awareness and funds for TEARS. Many thanks to Sarah Graham and The Yard restaurant for a delicious wholesome, plant-based Indian-Mediterranean fusion inspired menu. What a stunning moment it was for us to see TEARS Animal Rescue banners at the V&A Waterfront!

Upon arrival, guests were treated to welcome drinks by Thirst Bar Services and music by DJ Mamba. The restaurant was beautified with stunning fragrant flowers by Lol’s Floral Design and Décor. While enjoying canapés, the guests had a laugh creating personalised event GIFs from Gold Otter Media and smiled for photos thanks to Brenda Wardall Photography. Attendees were able to purchase a range of Sarah Graham’s cookbooks thanks to Exclusive Books who were in attendance.

Once seated, guests were treated to songs my the talented Pan African Singer and Songwriter Mae Sithole followed by serenading by the operatic sensation Mteto Mapoyi. A sumptuous main course of plant-based curries, naan and rice. With lunch, guests enjoyed award-winning wines by Du Toitskloof Wines and sparkling herbal waters from buchulife.

Our meal was wrapped up with a selection of decedent vegan desserts: carrot cake, strawberry cheesecake and dark chocolate & salted caramel tart. But that wasn’t the end of the pampering! We had some fantastic hampers to giveaway from NUXE and Cosmetix South Africa for cruelty-free beauty. Hampers for pet lovers were generously supplied by Rogz, Regal Pet Health and Ricky Litchfield. Finally, we had a hamper from Cape Kingdom Detox Teas and a signed copy of Leozette Roode‘s The South African Vegan Cookbook.
