Bishops Boys Make Magic for TEARS

Lukas Oelz loves magic. He fell in love with the transfixing power of magic and illusion and began to pursue the craft. Soon after, he discovered that his new skill and passion could help feed another passion: his love of animals.

With his school mates, they put their big dreams into action. They had one show at Riverside Place and raised money for animals but their dreams were still set high! They wanted to take their show to a theatre. With the support of Bishops College, 4 months of rehearsals, preparation and advertising saw 230 of 248 seats sold out. The night was a roaring success!

Their generosity has been enormous. All proceeds from all of their performances – without taking out their own costs – has been donated to TEARS. And they continue to raise awareness about the work that TEARS does and feed their passion for both animals and magic!

We join Lukas in thanking all of the members of the IMPOSSIBLE cast and the crew, namely, Jake Oelz, James Griffiths, John Smith, Nimba Mahlati, Felix DeBruin, Hamish McKenzie, Dominic Beaumont, Tristan Turner, Ben Reid, Ali Bruce, Aidan Brand, The Rosie Bruce Band and the whole of the Bishops community for supporting this event. You are all TEARS Superstars!
