The International Society for Animal Rights is solemnly dedicated to keeping the issue of dog and cat overpopulation before the public until victory is achieved and humane societies can return to their purpose of preventing suffering instead of being exhausted by ceaseless killing. In order to highlight this plight, the third Saturday of August has been deemed “International Homeless Animals Day.”
At TEARS Animal Rescue, it is our mission to not only help dogs and cat in plight but fight overpopulation with programs such as the Feral Cat Project and our Clinic offers spaying and neutering for improverished communities. Our adoptions program puts homeless animals into their forever homes and with loving families.
Join TEARS for our Adoption and Awareness Day at Longbeach Mall, Edgar’s Forecourt, on Saturday, 18th August, from 09h00 until 15h00.
Dogs, cats, puppies and kittens will be on exhibit and will be looking for their forever homes, subject to our normal adoption criteria.
Adopters will also be able to visit our shelters between 10h00 – 15h00 to see the animals we have available for adoption. Also, at our kennels on Lekkerwater Road, our Clinic will be offering Micro-chipping from 11h00 to 13h00, at the discounted rate of R150.
In conjunction with International Homeless Animals Day, just for the 18th August, we will be offering the following reduced fees: (This fee will apply to our shelter pets adopted and reserved on the day):
- Adoption Fee – R500 (Dogs, Cats, Puppies, Kittens)
- Adoption Fee for Cats and Kittens – If two are adopted / reserved on the day, only one adoption fee of R750 is payable (ie. two for the price of one)
- Micro-chipping – R150 (11h00 – 13h00)
Please join us in our fight to end Animal Homelessness and overpopulation!
